Tell Congress: Take action to close the terror gapFrom 2004 to 2014, over 2,000 known and suspected terrorists attempted to legally buy guns in the United States. A full 91% were successful because of a loophole in our laws that allows known and suspected terrorists and others to pass a criminal background check and purchase firearms.
An overwhelming majority of Americans support closing this loophole, and in the wake of the San Bernardino shooting where a terrorist killed 14 Americans, Congress has once again done something remarkable: nothing at all.
Sign our petition calling on Congress to close the “terror gap,” and pass legislation that would make it impossible for known and suspected terrorists to legally purchase firearms in the United States.
